Rama Peri, MD. PhD
Dr. Rama Peri is a board-certified family physician. She grew up in New Jersey and attended Douglass College for her undergraduate degree in Chemistry. She then obtained her Ph.D. from Princeton University in Biochemistry in 1982 and her medical degree from Rutgers Medical School in 1986. Then in 1989, she completed her Family Medicine Residency.
In 1991, when her husband Srihari Peri, board certified in Hematology/Oncology, joined Beebe Medical Center, her family moved to Lewes, Delaware, and have lived there ever since. During this time Dr. Peri worked in several different locations while raising her family of three children (two of whom also have become doctors and the third in marketing).
Dr. Peri has always had the desire to work with the underserved in the community and this led to the creation of The Rosa Health Center where she has worked from its inception.
